Dirac Live - Filter Exporting issues

Dirac Live - Filter Exporting issues

After getting through the whole Dirac process, the installer may encounter a network error, or find that the filter just isn’t in the X-series. Here’s how we can help:

1.      Try again!

a.      Before exiting Dirac, the installer should have saved a copy of the project somewhere on their computer. Open Dirac and connect to the X-series you’re working on.

b.      At the top of the page is the 3-horizontal line menu, click that and select Load Project, then open the Dirac project file.

c.       In that same menu, we can also select Resume Previous Session.

d.      Once the project is loaded, Dirac will jump to the Filter Design page. Proceed to the Export page.

e.      Select one of the export slots, give the filter a name, and click Export Filter.

f.        After about a minute a small notification in Dirac will appear saying “Filter exported successfully!” but the process is not over yet.

g.      The front panel of the X-series will read “DIRAC Receiving” and “DIRAC Saving” for anywhere from 1-3 minutes. DO NOT exit the Dirac Live software or turn off the X-series during this time.

h.      Once the front panel message reverts to “DIRAC Measurement,” it is safe to exit Dirac.

i.        Check the Input Config menu to make sure the EQ filter has exported properly.

2.      Check the network!

Info
You'll need to close out of Dirac before trying each of the steps below. Follow these troubleshooting steps one at a time. After each one, open Dirac and load the project file to see if the filter can be exported.

a.      Ensure that the X-series is connected to the network via ethernet cable and not by Wi-Fi.

b.      If possible, have the installer connect their computer to the network via ethernet cable.

c.       Make sure the installer’s computer is not on a VPN.

d.      Check the General Setup menu on the X-series, and make sure Control is set to IP.

                                                              i.      If it’s not set to IP, change it to IP, power cycle the X-Series, and once it boots back up return to Dirac.

ii.      If the installer plans on using an RS232 control system, they can change it back to RS232 after the Dirac calibration is finished.

e.      If possible, temporarily disable the computer’s firewall.

f.        Temporarily disconnect any control system that may be trying to communicate with the X-series, and close the unit’s web interface if it’s open on someone’s computer.

                                                              i.      Power cycle the X-series before returning to Dirac.
