Installation Instructions

This mounting kit consists of two main components.

1RU Rack Mount Shelf

Mounting Brackets

Attaching the Mounting Brackets

  1. Flip over the MXnet endpoint (encoder, decoder etc...) to view the four screw holes on the underside of the device.
  2. Grab a set of mounting brackets (2) and align the holes of the bracket with the holes on the endpoint. Use the label guide to align the correct set of holes based on the device you are mounting. The labeled side of the bracket should facing the bottom of the MXnet endpoint.

  1. Using the the included screws, securely attach the brackets to the endpoint. It is normal for the front of the endpoint to extend approximately 1" past the mounting bracket. This allows for it to sit flush against the front of the rack shelf.

Attaching the Endpoint to the Shelf

The 1RU shelf has several rectangular cutouts. The larger cutouts towards the front of the shelf are used to attach the slotted end of the mounting brackets to the rack shelf.

Angle the endpoint so that the slotted end of the bracket aligns with the holes shown in the image above.

With the front of the brackets slotted in place, use the included screws to fix the opposite end of the brackets to the shelf.
