X-series 1.61 firmware update "ERR: No File" fix
If a customer is having trouble updating to the 1.61 firmware, double check the name of the firmware file. In order for the AVR to update, the firmware file must be named:
- AVRx0_System1v61(AudioControl).fw (for 4k units)
- AVRx0_System(HDMI2p1Plus)1v61(AudioControl).fw (for 8k units)
If the customer's firmware has the wrong name, the update will not go through. You can either change the file name to one of the files listed above, or have the customer re-download the firmware from the AudioControl website.
For a short time, the file on our website had the wrong filename, this has since been corrected.
