U3 Firmware

U3 Firmware

NOTE: Please follow the FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCEDURE carefully. There
are two parts to the update process and you must complete both to
successfully update the firmware.

VERIFYING THAT YOU REQUIRE UPGRADE
If you already have version 21.11.010 or newer you should not upgrade your
firmware to this version. Hold down the Source button on the U3 until
the Control Panel appears. The current firmware version is listed under
U3 FW: xx.xx.xxx at the bottom of the screen.

INTEGRATION DESIGNER SUPPORT
You must use Integration Designer 9.18 / Integration Designer APEX 10.10
or higher to perform this update.

FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCEDURE
1. Choose the "Update Firmware" command on the Communications menu in
Integration Designer or Integration Designer APEX.
2. Select the U3_21_11_010.rfw file included with this README file.
3. Click OK to begin the update.
4. Connect a ZB-Pro to a USB port on your computer. Depending on the
firmware in the ZB-Pro, an update may be required and will be done
at this point. If you get a message asking you to unplug the ZB-Pro
to reset it, do so and start the firmware update process again.
5. Hold the Source key on the U3 remote to enter the Control Panel, then
choose "Programming Mode" from the menu. A four-digit connection code
will be displayed on the U3 screen.
6. Enter the connection code from the U3 into the dialog box and click OK.
7. Wait for part one of the firmware to transfer. This will take a few
   minutes.
8. When you get the "Step 1 Complete" message, click OK, then hold the
Source key on the U3 to put it into Programming Mode again and get
   a new connection code.
9. Enter the new connection code into Integration Designer and click OK.
10. Wait for part two of the firmware to transfer. This will take a few
    minutes.
11. Hold the Source key on the U3 to enter the Control Panel and confirm
that the firmware version now reads 21.11.010.
